HP DL360 GEN7 server RAID5 double loop data recovery is successful

Case:
The data recovery center received data from the client commissioned to restore a HP server. The device used by the client was the HP DL360 Gen7 server. The first time the system was paralyzed, the customer immediately contacted us.According to the customer’s description, the device is a RAID 5 formed by four hard disks. After the data recovery center took over the device, it first conducted a detailed inspection of the server, which basically excluded the server hardware failure.Subsequently, each hard disk was tested. Among them, there were a lot of bad downtors on the No. 3 disk, and a small number of bad sectors on the fourth plate.Due to the sudden incident of the device and the situation extremely urgent, the data recovery and system repair must be completed the next day. Therefore, we provide an emergency service after communicating with customers.

Solution:
Considering that the time is relatively urgent, we cannot try to repair a large number of bad pavilions of the third set. We can only make mirrors for each disk after repairing the fourth plate, and then use the RAID 5 redundant mechanism to pass the vacant disk position method of the vacant disk position. Reorganize RAID. In actual operation, we use physical disks and virtual mirrors to synchronize recovery. During the recovery process, we can compare and analyze the array information, which has greatly accelerated the progress of data recovery. The development of RAID technology has been widely used in large, medium and small servers and storage with this high cost performance and high security. However, many server manufacturers have developed a newer RAID technology for their own servers. These technologies use the standards for independent design and development. If they blindly analyze RAID information according to the general standards, it is basically impossible to get reliable results. This HP server we took over this time used the dual -cycle technology of RAID 5. After determining the RAID execution standards and technical indicators, we analyzed the RAID using professional data recovery tool Winhex, and reorganized RAID after obtaining RAID information such as positive sequences and block size. For the reorganized data, we first put him mirror on a single -disc physical disk with sufficient space, and then tested on the server. After testing, the server system can start smoothly, and the data is intact.
