Case:
The Group’s IBM server RAID 5EE array information is lost. The data recovery center is calculated through array sequence calculation to calculate the array direction and order order, and successfully restore important customer data.On October 28, 2011, the IT Information Department of a Group gave the data recovery center for help call, saying that their IBM server array information was lost. This set of servers is a RAID 5EE disk system composed of 12 500GB SATA hard disks. After analyzing the IBM server technicians, the failure is the loss of arrays information. It is suspected that the two hard disks have already dropped.
Solution:
After careful analysis and observation of the Data Recovery Center, it was found that a hard disk of the 8th disk had an abnormal sound. After testing the 8th hard disk magnetic head, the hard disk was unstable, and the hard disk appeared in a large number of bad sectors. The fundamental reason, the engineer suddenly discovered that the No. 3 of the group’s array also turned on the yellow light at the same time, and the data recovery center immediately gave a recovery plan, including: the hard disk opening mirror processing and the reconstruction of the array information. IBM server RAID 5EE, the industry is also a difficult point. After more than 5 years of development and development, the data recovery center has successfully developed a special software that responds to the system. The software has the characteristics of calculation of the array information loss. After 24 hours of intense recovery, the server’s server resume was successful, which marked that the data recovery center has successfully resolved the calculation of RAID 5EE arrangement. Note: Among the new array card products of IBM, a new RAID-level support is added —- RAID 5EE. Compared with RAID 5E, the data distribution of RAID 5EE is more efficient. Part of the space of each hard disk is used as a heat disk of distribution. They are part of the array. When a physical hard disk in the array fails It will be faster.
