Case:
The RAID array of the customer company failed. The client contacted a number of data to restore the company. Due to the complex situation, the data was not successfully restored. It was recommended by the same colleagues and asked our company for help.
Solution:
The RAID array consists of 5 SATA hard disks, 3 of which are 72GB, and the other two are 144GB. They all use the Linux operating system to preliminary judgment as the RAID5 array type.It was found that one of the hard disks had firmware problems, and the remaining 4 hard disks had different degrees of bad sectors.First, use the hard disk maintenance tool to write back the hard disk with a firmware failure. In order to avoid the increase in the spread of bad sectors, first backup all the data of the 5 hard disks into a mirror file, and then manually analyze and reorganize the mirror file.Of the five hard disks, the data of 2 hard disks and the other 3 hard disks were not related, so they suspected that the array type was positioned.Data recovery engineers attempts to eliminate two hard disks, and only analyze the RAID5 array of three other hard disks. After testing, the three hard disk data combinations are successful, and the required data is successfully exported. After analysis, it was found that the remaining two hard disks reorganized another RAID0 array, which has nothing to do with the previous RAID5.Such a composite RAID 5+0 array data recovery is finally recovered!
