Dawning 24 disk Raid5 server recovery case

Case:
1. The device consists of a RAID5 disk array of 500GB and 23 750GB of SAID5 disk array of 500GB and 23 750GB: 2. When the equipment XFS system starts, when the self -inspecting RAID5 array XFS partition is prompted, the operating system cannot identify the array hard disk.Division.After using relevant tools to detect by our unit, RAID5’s second and fifth hard disk working status is abnormal. The second hard disk has obvious physical bad sectors. The RAID5 volume is the XFS file system partition format.damage.Since XFS is a file system launched by SGI, only a few people have analyzed the data structure of the file system in China. There are very few related technical data. Therefore, it is technically difficult to restore the data of the RAID5.However, after analysis of the structure of the hard disk file system, it is found that the main index node (INODE) on the RAID5 array still exists, and the data may be recovered.

Solution:
The engineer of our unit first analyzed the logical structure of the Hard disk through the reverse engineering method. On the basis of this, the RAID5 analyzed the following analysis. The block part is damaged, causing the XFS system to be unable to access the partition; the root directory node of the 2.xfs partition is damaged; 3. The second hard disk ofraid5 has a physical bad sector; 4. The 5th hard disk ofraid5’s hard disk was once “offline””
