Case:
DS3400 divided a total of 8 LUNs, of which 4 LUNs were hung on the Linux server, and the other 4 Lun hung on Windows.Due to the error of the engineer, the lun hanging under Linux was mapped to the Windows server, and then the hard disk was initialized on the disk management interface on Windows. When the problem was found, the 4 LUN was switched to linux. All partition information was lost., File system cannot be accessed.Under Linux, 4 LUN is divided into XFS file systems. The data that needs to be restored is data in the XFS file system on 4 LUN.
Solution:
Because the RAID itself is not damaged, there is no need to perform a separate mirror of each physical hard disk, and the 4 LUN mirrors that need to be recovered are needed.There are two ways of mirroring: one is to use the DD command to image the LUN mirror on other storage space under Linux, the other is to switch the LUN to be recovered to Windows, and then use the Winhex tool to mirrize the hard disk.After the mirror is completed, the focus of data recovery is to analyze the XFS file system structure and extract the number of data.
