U disk FAT table DBR are damaged data recovery case

Case:
The customer took a kinton U disk to restore the data because the hot insertion caused unable to open the U disk.

Solution:
Using Winhex analysis, there is no DBR, no FAT table, no FDT, and later searched the directory. The first sub -directory shows the 9th cluster, the second sub -directory is the 11th cluster, the third sub -directory is the 12th cluster of the 12th clusterEssenceIn this way, the cluster size can be determined. Depending on the position of the starting sector where the two clusters are located, the value obtained is 64, and then the U disk is formatted according to FAT32 and FAT16.It is also 64. The cluster size of FAT32 is 8. It is determined that the original format is FAT16, but the formatting 9th cluster is different from the original 9th cluster.Fill in the DBR, save and open, the directory comes out, and the data is copied in Winhex. The data recovery is okay. Most of them can be opened.
