Case:
The customer hosting system is ESX4.1, and the bottom layer of the storage is RAID5 of 5 450GB SAS disk group. There are 3 virtual machines deployed. This system has a heavier load, and one of the virtual machines deploy a usey friend ERP system, which uses the SQL Server 2005 database.Due to the heavy load, there are two disks offline, causing RAID to collapse. After the customer is enforced, it is found that two virtual machines cannot start. The customer wants to copy the virtual disk and prompts that it cannot be copied.
Solution:
The engineer first carried out a full -byte mirror image on the customer’s SAS disk. All the latter operations were performed on the mirror image to ensure the originality of the customer’s data. The five disks reorganized the virtual RAID and exported all the data.Analyze the damaged disk and snapshot, and write the snapshot data reversely to simulate the complete workflow of ESX.After testing, the virtual machine has been started normally, and the UFIDE SQL Server 2005 database has been loaded normally.
